The NBA Mission:
The Newmarket Business Association is comprised of local businesses and organizations with the primary function of supporting business and community in the Newmarket area. The Association focuses its efforts twofold:
- Business-to-business support through networking, education, and promotional benefits.
- Business-to-community relations through the support of community events and activities that contribute to a more robust Newmarket- a positive for businesses, employees, and customers.
We work to build relationships between businesses, strengthening partnerships with local government and creating alliances with other organizations for the good of our members and the community.
The Newmarket Business Association is here to help your business through a variety of benefits, which include:
Networking:
Get connected to other local business owners and community members.
- Meet other business professionals at our monthly or bimonthly networking meetings with fellow NBA colleagues. Morning, noon, and evening mixers are all available to host and attend each month.
- Access local experts and resources by attending business development and educational workshops.
- Attend Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies, After Hours Mixers, and Open Houses throughout the year.
Marketing:
The NBA provides numerous advertising opportunities, helping your business grow, while expanding the community’s awareness of your products and services.
- Expand your marketing footprint with a strong social media campaign, print advertising, and a variety of other media. Examples include:
- NBA E-Newsletter featuring upcoming community events, new and renewing members, and business development news.
- Your business is listed on the NBA website with a direct link to your website.
- You can be interviewed for “Where the Sidewalk Ends,” a video that will be shown on the NBA YouTube channel, on the NBA website, on the NBA Facebook page, and on other social media sites in Newmarket.
- Promote your new business location, partners, anniversary, or achievements with a Ribbon Cutting, an Open House, or a Mixer.
Supporting:
The NBA takes pride in its connections with the Newmarket community and continues to be a visible leader by supporting and sponsoring many community- related events and programs.
- NBA members work with the Newmarket Recreation Dept. by sponsoring and volunteering at annual community events throughout the year. These include:
- The REC Connect, which highlights an outstanding community leader, business, and organization or program of the year
- Sponsoring Arts in the Park Concerts in the summer
- Sponsoring the Young Entrepreneurs’ Zone at the Backyard Bash
- Supporting Halloween Haunt’s Trick or Treat Trolley
- Contributing to the Free Holiday Kids Party
- Serve on a committee to help the community while making new business contacts and gaining guidance and advice.
