Edward Jones – Amy Hammershoy

In 2008, my husband, Eric, sister-in-law, Holly, and I began caring full time for their mother, Shirley, in her losing battle against Alzheimer’s disease. It was incredibly difficult to cope with losing someone close to you, while growing a new marriage and juggling full time careers. If it was not for a few key professionals in our lives (doctors, an attorney and our financial advisor), I don’t know how we would have made it through everything. Now, I am proud to be that professional here to support you.

After nearly 20 years in various roles within the supply chain, I decided to switch careers. I felt that I could better serve my community and make a more meaningful impact on the people that I care about as a financial advisor. With real life experiences and a background in strategic planning and goal development, I knew that I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives.

I worked hard to gain the education that I needed to best support my clients. Now, I hold Series 7, Series 66 registrations, and various insurance licenses. Together with my branch office administrator, Dee Selling, our branch strives to understand what is most important to our clients and partners with them to achieve their goals.

When I am not in the office, Eric and I enjoy cooking together, getting outdoors, spending time in our community and traveling. We have two cats that we affectionately refer to as our “fur babies.” Also, we are proud to say that we were hands on in the renovation of our home, where we enjoy entertaining friends and family.
