Annual Halloween Haunt
October 27, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
THE DEVILISH DETAILS…
The creepiest community event of the year is coming spookily quick to Newmarket. Be sure to mark your calendar for Saturday, OCTOBER 27th for our ANNUAL HALLOWEEN HAUNT located at The Newmarket Community Center (The Rec Center) and Leo Landroche Field. There will be arts and crafts, scary snacks, tons of ghoulish activities & games, costume contest, and harvest fun for everyone!
1:45 PM: GATES OPEN IN FRONT OF THE REC CENTER – $5/child suggested donation.
If you think this event is scary, you should see our candy bill! We hope you’ll understand as much as we would love to keep this event FREE to all who enter, we, unfortunately, have not raised enough money in the past few years from our “Fun”d raising activities at the event to offset all the costs associated with the event (including trolleys), therefore we are going to be asking for a $5/child entrance free this year, or $10/per family. (Babies 12months and under free)
WHAT’S NEW – MORE TROLLEY SHUTTLES SERVICES
Due limited parking at the Rec Center and the Newmarket High School Construction project and the lack of the HS connected parking lot next to the Rec Center, we will be offering additional Trolley Services this year. Stay tuned for more information on times offered and which parking lots will be designated pick up locations.
2:00PM – 4:00 PM: TONS OF FRIGHTENLY FUN FESTIVE ACTIVITIES
Halloween Haunt Spooktacular Themed Activities will commence all around the Rec Center Complex! As always, there will be tons of fun, somewhat spooky activities, games, candy & prizes!

TROLLEY RIDES TO DOWNTOWN FOR TRICK OR TREATING
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: TRICK OR TREATING DOWNTOWN!
Similar to last year many downtown businesses will be open for Trick or Treating. Some Businesses will be hosting other Halloween Theme activities! Again, all of these activities will occur between 4pm – 6pm. We are in the process of recruiting businesses for our Trick or Treat Down Town part of the event. Stay tuned…. We hope to have a complete list of businesses participating in the next few weeks.
Unfortunately, the weather is always a gamble; due to the new location, we now have the ability to move many of the activities into the Rec Center. Some activities, however, may need to be canceled depending on how severe the weather may be. This is a Rain or Shine event-NO RAIN DATE.
